I have been working on the MultiMediaArt degree programme as a Senior Lecturer, Head of the Film Department and Creative Director at Salzburg University of Applied Science for twelve years now. For me, it is absolutely fascinating to work with young creative types and draw on their strengths in inspiring projects. My role as Head of Degree Programme on a programme with international reach is an intercultural challenge for me that is extremely enriching. I am allowed to lead a diverse international team of specialists in teaching, research and service. Together, we also engage in projects and international study programs e.g. in Vietnam, Nepal and Georgia.
I took time out to go on a sabbatical to ensure I was up-to-date with all the latest developments in computer science and web development. The year I spent in New York broadened my horizons and provided me with fresh inspiration in my role as Senior Lecturer. As a member of the Core Team, working with ultra-modern facilities and systems is really important to me. Salzburg University of Applied Sciences offers the option of flexible working hours so that employees can schedule their own free time in line with their hobbies.
For me, the most attractive part of the position as a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy is the practical training. And the promise of this being a family-friendly place to work is more than fulfilled. In my roles as Coordinator for University Didactics and International Coordinator at the Kuchl Campus, networking is a big part of my job. I use the opportunity to attend international conferences on a regular basis to my advantage here.
