FH Salzburg employs 400 people across its Urstein, Kuchl, Uniklinikum Salzburg and Schwarzach campuses. There are 3200 students who have a choice of 18 bachelor and 12 master programmes across four faculties to study in – Engineering; Business and Social Sciences; Design, Media and Arts; and Health Studies.

We offer a part-time position as Senior Lecturer (f/m/x) at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, Department of Creative Technologies: 
 
Senior Lecturer Fullstack-Development with focus on Frontend (f/m/x)

Tasks:

  • Teaching basic and advanced courses in the field of web development (focus on frontend) up to 8 semester hours per week. 1 semester hour is equivalent to 14x 45 minutes. Languages of instruction are German and English
  • Participating in the coordination and development of courses and teaching materials in the academic area of “Web & Mobile”
  • Supervising academic theses and coaching of student projects
  • Participating in research projects in the academic area of “Web & Mobile”
  • Academic and administrative work for the degree programme
  • Contributing to the qualitative development of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes
  • Establishing and maintaining contacts with business and industry (collaborations, projects, internships)

Profile:

  • Completed university degree (diploma, master's degree). A PhD is of advantage.
    • Tooling (Git, GitLab, Docker, Node)
      Relevant practical experience and in-depth knowledge in one or more of the following areas: 
      • Modern front-end technologies (e.g. Angular, React, Javascript, Typescript)
      • APP development with React native or other modern frameworks
      • API services (REST, GraphQL)
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a web development role in an agile working environment outside of academia
  • Several years of teaching experience in higher education
  • Excellent practical skills and ability to collaborate on multidisciplinary tasks
  • Design affinity and a good feel for UI/UX are of advantage
  • Strong communication and social skills
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English

We offer:

Hours: 20 hours per week / 8 semester hours per week
Location: Campus Urstein in Puch / Salzburg
Start date: as soon as possible / by arrangement
Duration of contract: initially 2 years with an option to extend. The prerequisite is the provision of the required performance evaluation in the areas of teaching, research and cooperation.
Salary: from € 67.942,- gross annual salary full time (40 hours per week)
