Lectureship Sustainable Computing

The FH Salzburg employs 400 staff members at its four campuses: Campus Urstein, Campus Kuchl, Campus Uniklinikum Salzburg, and Campus Schwarzach. In 18 bachelor's and 12 master's degree programs, 3,200 students are trained in the fields of engineering, social and economic sciences, design, media & art, as well as health sciences.

For part-time teaching positions in the Department of Creative Technologies in the MultiMediaTechnology program, we are announcing an external teaching assignment for the winter semester 2024/25.

Lectureship Sustainable Computing 
(1 weekly semester hour / Type: Seminar) 

The seminar is offered in the 3rd semester of the Master programme MultiMediaTechnology. It is an introduction to Sustainable Computing.

Content

Topics include the use of technology and information systems from an environmental, social and economic perspective in relation to sustainable development objectives. Criteria and approaches for the use of digital technologies from an energy efficiency perspective are critically reflected.  
 
The language of instruction will be English. 

Profile

We are looking for applicants (m/f/x) with a strong background in computer science and experience in teaching in the field of sustainability. A degree is a formal requirement. 
 

Conditions

The employment will be in the form of a freelance contract (§ 4 Para. 2 ASVG). Ex-ternal lecturers are employed under the following conditions:
• Employment is limited to a maximum of 6 semester hours per week.
• External lecturers must have verifiable other employment subject to full social insur-ance.

1 semester hour = 13 teaching units of 45 minutes each
