Researcher building construction (f/m/d)

FH Salzburg employs 400 people across its Urstein, Kuchl, Uniklinikum Salzburg and Schwarzach campuses. There are 3200 students who have a choice of 18 bachelor and 12 master programmes across four faculties to study in – Engineering; Business and Social Sciences; Design, Media and Arts; and Health Studies.

In the area of research, we are advertising a position as a Researcher with the possibility of a dissertation at the Campus Kuchl in the Research and Transfer Center Alpine Building ( - a center for the two fields of study Smart Building and Smart Buildings in Smart Cities:


  •     Research activity in the field of building services engineering/energy technology
  •     Focus on building simulation including data analysis
  •     Involvement in research at the Center for Alpine Construction
  •     Publication and lecture activity
  •     Participation in the national and international networking of the research area
  •     Participation in the qualitative development of the research center and the study program

  • University degree in the field of mechanical engineering-building technology, thermal engineering, energy-efficient buildings, electrical engineering, power engineering, physics or similar. (Diploma/Master's degree)
  • At least 3 years of relevant research experience or subject-specific professional experience
  • Scientific publications
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • Relevant computer skills (building simulation IDA Ice, Matlab,...)
  • Social and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and ability to work in a team
