Lectureship Human Centered Design

Salzburg University of Applied Sciences employs 450 staff members at its four campuses: Campus Urstein, Campus Kuchl, Campus Uniklinikum Salzburg, and Campus Schwarzach. In 18 bachelor's and 15 master's degree programs, 3,200 students train in the fields of engineering, business and social sciences, design, media & art, as well as health sciences.
 
For part-time teaching in the Department of Creative Technologies we are offering the following external teaching assignment for summer semester 2025.
 
Lectureship Human Centered Design
(up to 56 teaching units) 
 
In this course, two groups of students work together: students from the MultiMediaTechnology program with a focus on web development and students from the MultiMediaArt program with a focus on communication design.
They not only gain in-depth knowledge in human-centered design but also learn to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams. We explicitly invite teaching teams to apply, in order to cover both the technical and the creative perspectives on the topic.
 
The language of instruction can be either German or English.

Tasks

  • Collaborating with the heads of the academic areas and fellow lecturers to coordinate the syllabus.
  • Preparing teaching materials and content.
  • Delivering on-site instruction at Campus Urstein.
  • Conducting student assessments and evaluations.

Profile

We are seeking candidates(m/f/x) with practical experience in applying human-centered design in the industry. A relevant university degree is required.

Conditions

The employment will be in the form of a freelance contract (§ 4 Para. 2 ASVG). External lecturers are employed under the following conditions:

• Employment is limited to a maximum of 6 semester hours per week.
• External lecturers must have verifiable other employment subject to full social insurance.
 
1 semester hour per week = 14 teaching units of 45 minutes each
Teaching days: Monday to Friday
